Why Locals Love TASTY FOOD CORNER

Nestled in the heart of Bintulu at Parkcity Commerce Square, TASTY FOOD CORNER is a beloved local café that has risen to fame for its impeccable take on authentic Sarawakian flavors, especially their renowned kolok mee. This cozy spot is a treasure trove for food enthusiasts seeking the perfect harmony of texture and taste in traditional Malaysian noodles.

At the core of their menu lies the kolok mee, a dish that reviewers unanimously praise for its “al dente” bite and expertly balanced seasoning. The noodles arrive cooked to perfection—springy with just the right chewiness—a testament to the skill and precision of the kitchen. The signature sauce, lightly infused with vinegar, opens up the appetite with its subtle tang, making each mouthful irresistibly fresh and flavorful. Not to be missed is the mix tofu soup, where a rich, flavorful broth envelops perfectly stuffed wontons brimming with savory meat. This combination creates a heartwarming, umami-packed experience that lingers pleasantly on the palate.

Diners like customer Luch have observed the steady stream of patrons that flock here, a clear indicator of the café’s bustling popularity. The air-conditioned interior offers a comfortable retreat from Bintulu’s tropical heat, allowing guests to savor their meals in a relaxed environment. Friendly and efficient staff add to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every visit feels personal and attentive.

Beyond the kolok mee, dishes such as the mee hitam, sup campur, and the much-loved claypot yee mee provide a breadth of authentic flavors, each carrying a unique local twist that delights both first-timers and regulars alike. Prices remain refreshingly reasonable—around RM5 for a satisfying bowl—making TASTY FOOD CORNER a hotspot for both quick bites and leisurely meals.

Whether you’re a local craving a nostalgic taste or a visitor eager to immerse yourself in Sarawak’s culinary heritage, TASTY FOOD CORNER delivers an authentic, flavorful journey that is as heartfelt as it is delicious.

If there is any example of "Al dente" in the world of kolok Mee this is it! The noodles were cooked to perfection. Seasoning has just the right level of umami. The broth of the mix tofu soup was flavourful and the wonton was stuffed full of meat. The drinks however is on the mediocre side. Better come early. With non-stop influx of customers, finding a free table might be challenging.

First time here, just because i have some business nearby. Ordered no. 11 mee hitam, no.1 wantan, and no.5 sup campur. The kolo mee is cooked just right, sauce is mixed with a bit of vinegar...opens up appetite. Got aircond, but price is same as other kopitiam (RM5 for kolo mee).Would certainly come again to try no.9 mee merah.

I recently visited a local food restaurant and This is an authentic local taste that was infused in all their dish. The must try dish that I highly recommend is the “kolo Mee”. The noodle was perfectly cooked, and had a nice chew to it which added to the overall experience of the dish. I also appreciated the smaller size of the noodle portion, which was just right for one person and didn't leave me feeling overly stuffed. I will definitely be back to try more of their delicious offerings!

My all time favorite would be the kolok mee and claypot yee mee. Staffs are friendly and efficient too. Love sitting inside to enjoy the air conditioner on a hot day.

If your prefer going for noodles breakfast you may want to try out their kolok mee. You have a variety choices of add on; e.g. fish balls, meat balls, yong tau fu, etc. Also serve fried noodles. Price is reasonable like other kopitiam in Bintulu.
